What I Do

What I Do

I believe many Human Resources processes have become too complex and burdensome on the organization, and I seek to make them simpler and more effective.

For example, performance appraisal systems seek to achieve multiple goals, yet often give the impression of success, but truly fail at all of them. Competency models - which can be very valuable - often collect dust on a manager’s shelf and fail to have the impact that they promise. Training can make a huge difference to the organization if done properly, but without a systems context can be a colossal waste of money.

There are easy fixes to each of these issues.

Have Fun

Life is here to enjoy. I love work, and the challenges faced by individuals trying to make the world a better place.

Still, I have great hobbies and I love spending my days in the beautiful environment here in Truckee, California, near Lake Tahoe.
